The Ton
The riders meet, their machine is the best. Perhaps it´s the thrill, maybe a challenge."Drop the coin into the slot"
The aroma of fuel and oil gives way to the sound of engines roaring into life, the atmosphere pervades adrenalin and expectation, now mixing with blue exhaust smoke.
They´re off, into the streets dense with the urban crawl. Every gap is used in the rush. Pedestrians turn their heads at the noise, catching glimpses of a frenzy of chrome, silk and black leather. They pass in a flash. Will the bike take it, will they make it. Did we reach 100mph?
Who cares. I just want a coffee and do it again! I´d better check the oil.
