Ace Cafe London, hosting the annual Eddie Cochran Tribute Night at the cafe on Saturday 9th April, this year celebrates the 60th “Diamond” anniversary of both the 1956 film release “ The Girl Can’t Help it”, featuring Eddie singing “Twenty Flight Rock”, and the release of his first solo record “Skinny Jim”

The evening at the Ace features live, the highly polished, well-oiled rock n' roll sounds of Sandy Ford & The Flying Saucers and, on the decks spinning the wax, DJ Flat Top Dave!
In a bid to get 1950's rock n' roll played on the BBC's national Radio One Show, in 1976 Sandy and the band played on the back of an open truck that was part of the famous Teddy boy March in London that year - this year being the 40th “Ruby” anniversary of that march of 15.5.76, considered the spark which ignited the revival – and which brought about a one hour shown on BBC radio, on Saturday afternoon's with DJ's Stuart Colman and Geoff Barker, The Flying Saucers were one of the guest bands playing live on the show!
The evening includes opportunity to win prizes, including two pairs of tickets to attend the cafes annual Elvis Tribute Night, next to be held at the Ace on evening of Saturday 13th August, copies of Vintage Rock Magazine, and Ace Cafe London goody items.
To be in with a chance of winning, retain your door entry raffle ticket.  Draw to be held on the evening.
