Update - Ace Ton Up Day at Brooklands 01/07/2014

Ace & Brooklands Ton Up Day!
Sunday 6th July
Ride-Out Departs 9.30am

Building on the success of last year's inaugural "Ace Cafe Ton Up Day" at Brooklands, this year marks the 75th anniversary of the historic tracks last race, and subsequent closure, in 1939.
Brooklands, the world's first purpose built motor racing track, and home of the now legendary "Gold Star" (awarded at Brooklands for achieving sustained speeds of at least 100mph, the ton!), is set to again come alive with the sights, sounds and smells of speed, On Sunday 6th July.
In addition to the planned club displays and stands, live music, trade stands and historic bikes, this special day, a collaboration between Ace Cafe London and Brooklands, includes runs up the famous Test Hill and along the Members' Banking!

The popular TV programme, The Motorcycle Show, will be filming and interviewing throughout this special Ton Up Day, and the prizes for the 4 "Best Ton Up" bikes - categories being for single, twin, multi cylinder machines, as well as a "Spirit of Brooklands"  award for the best pre-WWII bike.
A "Brooklands Burn Up" Ride-Out departs from the Ace at 9.30am on Sunday 6th July.
