Guiver looks to consolidate his lead at Cadwell Park

The Ace Cafe T3 Racing team are on a high and feeling confident as they head to Cadwell Park the leaders of the Motorpoint British Supersport Cup Championship.

Rob Guiver holds a one point lead over Jake Dixon as Round 7 of the championship kicks off. The team believe they have found a formula for success and hope to see Rob working his way up the ranks this weekend.

Team manager, Ricky Chadwick, commented: “We are really looking forward to Cadwell Park since we’re so close to getting the bike to exactly the way Rob likes it and hopefully we’ll be able to see this in the results. The whole team has worked so hard and it’s all beginning to gel nicely. Plus we’re looking for strong results to cement our number one position in the Cup championship.”

Guiver spoke about his confidence on the bike: “We had a really good weekend at Oulton, despite Race 2, and I really feel I can really push the bike now. I’m looking forward to Cadwell Park and hopefully we’ll be able to get another win in.”

We also spoke to Tony Scott, Team Principal: “We’ve made some changes to the bike since Oulton Park but our main focus is on Rob. It’s a state of mind, its about Rob and his confidence and he’s now developed a new riding style for the bike which is working.

“For Rob like many Triumph Triple Challenge riders the transition from 125s to the TTC bike is quite natural but it’s quite a jump from that to the Supersport bike. Despite being a 600 too, it’s so powerful you have to ride it like a 1000.”

The Ace Cafe T3 Racing team will be racing at 15.55 on Sunday 25th August and 15.30 on the Bank Holiday Monday, 26th August.
