Brighton MAG Need Your Help! 13/09/2012

YOUR URGENT HELP IS REQUIRED

Brighton MAG hoped you enjoyed your ride down to Brighton.

Through ongoing work with the council Brighton MAG are close to securing the trial of bikes and scooters (PTW) in bus lanes in Brighton and Hove. Political sign off to the proposal is being sought at a meeting of the Council Transport Committee in the coming weeks. The Council, Press & local MP are keen to hear your experiences of travelling into Brighton as a biker. Therefore if you were to spend a few moments e-mailing the key people listed below it would therefore really assist our efforts.

Keep it polite please as we enjoy a good relationship with the council- more secure bike parking is on the way! You may wish to consider including the following points in your e-mail/postcard/letter.

•    Your experience of travelling into Brighton at the weekend & the level of available & secure parking upon your arrival

•    That you welcome the Sussex Safer Roads Partnership identifying powered two wheelers as a priority group.

•    That  a rider you support the proposal to trial P.T.W.s use of bus lanes as it will give you a welcome level of protection

•    It will improve traffic flow when large motorcycle events occur in the city
