Ace Maestro!

Travelling over 10,000 miles in a month, across Europe and down through Africa, competing in the E.R.A. London to Cape Town World Cup Rally 2012, Jane Edgington and Gill Cotton, who finished in 8th place, are the cafe's special guests together with their MG Maestro rally car on Saturday 10th March, when the Ace hosts the Maestro Owners Club from 9.30am - 11am.

The 1600cc car, built by British Leyland at the Austin-Rover Cowley plant in 1986, and called "The Spirit of Oxford", was the UK's first to be built by "Robot" and to be designed in part by computer!

Tony Fowkes Automobiles, in Park Royal London, a stones throw from the cafe, strengthened the cars body for the rally and maintains the vehicle, still carrying its rally number 15.
