Scooter Sunday - Mod Special! 02/03/2017

Ace Cafe London’s annual Scooter Sunday, next to be held at the cafe 9am to 5pm Sunday 26th March, includes from noon with the five-piece band, The Ska Faces, playing the best of Mod, Ska, 2Tone, Trojan, Rudy and Northern soul, and is for all those that “Keep the Faith” with “All or Nothing”

In addition to celebrating so many seminal 1960’s sounds, this year Ace Cafe London has a copy of the now out of stock Dr. Martens book “A History of Rebellious Self-Expression” up for grabs amongst the raffle prizes

This exclusive 256 page soft bound book, by Martin Roach, which is only otherwise available from Dr. Martens, is illustrated with over 220 photographs, many previously unpublished, and chronicles Dr. Martens “AirWair”, one of Britain’s most diverse and influential brands – the narrative is told through painstaking, in depth research, dozens of interviews with high profile musicians, subcultural individuals and creative personalities

The book is the definitive work on one of modern cultures most unique, complex and authentic brands – there will always be Dr. Martens as long as rebellious self-expression continues to exist

To be in with a chance of winning a copy, spend £5 or more over the counter at the cafe from 10am and receive a raffle ticket.
Draw to be held after 3pm
